Final Touches!

We are just a couple days away from our closing. Have I said that we are excited!!! The final touches are being made. We had our final walk through this past Thursday. There were a couple of things that still needed to be worked on but nothing to stop us from closing. Abigail is so excited to be able to have her bedroom furniture back!!! And Zackery......well he just runs everywhere no matter where he is, so he's happy. I added a couple of photos to show some of the final things. They added the railing a week ago. Made me feel better about the kids walking up on the porch.

This week they put in the carpet runner on the stairs. I like the wood, but with the kids I wanted something to slim the risk of slipping.

Billys Birthday

We celebrated Billy's birthday this past Saturday with a little cake. This was Abigail's first decorating experience. This is why Billy had pink and purple sprinkles. He loved it and Abigail was very proud of her decorations.

A Short little Adventure

Every once in a while, if it is a nice day we like to take a little adventure and see where it takes us. Today we decided to drive north to the mountains. This time we found ourselves at a place called Blowing Rock. The look out was beautiful. Gods creation is so amazing!!!

Zackery just enjoyed investigating all the things around him. We had to make sure to hold his hand though, there was a big drop off.

Grass and Flooring

We are nearing the end of all the building and getting closer to living in our house. This week some of the final things have been added. There is still some to do, but most everything is in the house now. This week we were given a yard. There is something about grass that just makes a house look complete. The kids were very excited to be able to run around in a yard after being in the apt with no yard. The carpet and wood floor was put down. They stained the stairs to match the floor and they look fantastic. Only a couple more weeks to go!!!!!!! The front yard grass. They also painted the front door black to match the shutters.

My pantry. I am very excited to have a pantry. I didn't have one in the last house and that was very important to me to have one in this house. Oh how amazing the little things can be!
