It's beginning to feel like fall!!!! Yeah!!!!! Last Saturday was a perfect day to be outside. We decided to go and investigate one of the National/ State parks near us. There are two parks right together. On the state park side it has an area that has living history. It has old houses, an out door kitchen, a cotton mill and a few other things to see. There were a few people in the country clothing doing things that they would do in the olden days. I love living history and seeing how things were done. It helps me appreciate where we are today and how far we have come and what we take for granted. We then decided to take a walk on one of the walking trails and appreciate the great outdoors and all that God has created. We couldn't of ask for a more beautiful day.
The original person that built this house built it for his family which had nine children. It had one room down stairs and a loft upstairs.

Abigail got to help one of the ladys push some kind of cane (kinda like surgar cane, but surgar cane doesn't grow this far north) There is a bowl in the bottom where all the juice was coming out. She then took it to the out door kitchen to cook. She said it would take about 4 to 5 hours to make a syrup.
Like any good farm it had chickens. Another visitor picked it up so the kids could pet her.
Aren't they just beautiful!
Following in his daddy's foot steps
You can't tell in this picture, but they were high off the ground sitting on this log.
On the path they have markers along they way so you don't get lost. Abigail made sure that she pointed out every one she saw!!! We were not going to get lost with her guiding our way!!!
Zackery had a great time. He is such an adventurer

Abigal's 5th Birthday
I can not believe how fast time goes. It seems like just yesterday Abigail was born and now she has turned 5 yrs old. We had a simple little party with just us and we had a great time. Abigail was so excited that it was her birthday. We gave her a choice of what she would like to do and she choose to go to Chuck E Cheese. We had a great time and she won lots of tickets on skee ball (with mommy's help) to go and pick out prizes. We ended the night with a couple of presents. She got a Barbie mermaid and a couple of peak a boo barbies. Then we had a pink cake with pink icing. Yum Yum. Did you guess that she loves pink?? Now that she is 5 she feels that she is ready to start kindergarden just like her cousin Kayley. She keeps asking when is she going to start school and when is her 6 birthday. Oooohhhh the patience of a child!

I love this picture. She looks like she is having the best time of her life. Simple joys!!!!!!
Hugging her mermaid Barbie. She asked and asked for this.

The New House
We are excited that we are getting to build our next home. We just finished up all the paper work and should be breaking ground very soon. Here are a couple of pics of the lot that we will be building on.
We have been talking about this house for a while and this particular lot. Billy surprised me by telling me over e-mail with this picture that we got it!
SOLD!!!!!!! Now comes the hard part....waiting for it to be done.

Unpacking
The best part of unpacking is the empty boxes!!!! My two little angels found this particular box to be a great tunnel.
Abigail wanted to take a silly picture. I think this picture is great because it looks like Zack is saying "peace" while making the "peace" sign with his fingers. He's such a cool little dude!

After a long day of unpacking, Zackery had to lay down to play with his toys. Oh......how tough it is to be a 1 yr old!
